In Conversation with Australia's Jewish Parliamentarians
The last session of the 2021 Australian Association of Jewish Studies Conference https://aajs2021.sched.com
being held online Monday 1st March 2021 – 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
In that discussion, Professor Kim Rubenstein will talk to three Jewish members of Parliament about the significance of their Jewish identity to their role as Parliamentarians. What does active Jewish citizenship constitute for these MPs? Did their Jewishness impact on their decision to enter politics? Does their Jewish identity affect their working lives? Do other Jewish Australians benefit from their presence in Parliament?
This session can be attended as a stand-alone part of the 2021 conference for free via ZOOM
