COVID-19

MESSAGE FROM ACTJC BOARD

17 FEBRUARY 2022

Given that the ACT Government is continuing low level public health social measures, we will continue with some restrictions and will continue to monitor the situation.

Please note the following requirements for people coming to the Centre:
  • Do not attend the Centre if you are unwell
  • Do not bring your children or other family members or visitors to the Centre if they are unwell
  • You must be fully vaccinated (preferably triple vaccinated) and have provided proof of your vaccination to the office
  • Services will resume inside:
    • You must note your attendance using a sticker on the list of names
    • You must wear a well-fitted mask (not cotton) (respirator masks will be available at the Centre if you do not have your own)
    • There is no eating or drinking inside the Centre as this requires removing your mask. Please share these requirements with any non-member or guest attending the Centre or a service.
  • If your school aged child is not fully vaccinated then, given that all school children have now been given rapid antigen tests by the government, we ask that you test them before they attend the Centre and confirm that they have tested negative to Covid. We also ask those children in year 3 and above wear face masks while at the Centre.
  • To ensure the health and safety of our members, please note:
    • Masks must still be worn when inside the Centre
    • Kiddush will be held outside so that masks can be removed
    • The office staff will be checking anyone attending the Centre during office hours
    • A Board member will be at the Centre at the start of each service checking off names
    • If a board member is not present to take attendance, please make yourself known to the leader and register your presence at services on the sign-in sheets provided by placing a sticker next to your name.
  • At this stage we will not be allowing tours or large outside groups to attend the Centre.
  • Cheder will continue online until you are advised otherwise.
  • It is important we support each other and accept that there are different views and opinions about how best to manage the current situation. Everyone should feel safe and comfortable when attending the Centre. If you notice someone not wearing a mask, please just remind them to put it on.
Our aim is to be open and make things work for as many people as possible. If you do not feel comfortable attending the Centre with these restrictions, please do not come until things have changed.

Please feel free to contact me on president@actjc.org.au . If you want to speak with me, please send me your phone no. and I will call you.

Regards
